Simon Yates gewinnt den Giro d'Italia - 21. Etappe in Rom geht an Olav Kooij, Max Kanter zum Abschluss Sechster
Simon Yates ist auf der Schlussetappe des Giro d'Italia sturzfrei und ohne Zeitverlust durchgekommen und hat somit die 108. Italien-Rundfahrt gewonnen. Das 21. Teilstück ging in Rom nach 143 Kilometern im Massensprint an seinen Visma-Teamkollegen Olav Kooij. Zweiter wurde Kaden Groves (Alpecin) vor Matteo Moschetti (Q36.5). Max Kanter (XDS-Astana) kam zum Abschluss auf den sechsten Platz.
